“Music has always been an important part of my life, and my tastes have had multiple influences (jazz, rock and classical) throughout my life. My mother is a jazz singer, and I grew up hearing her sing, rehearsing at home and at clubs and recording studios. My brother is six years older than me, and a rock musician, and his taste was the definition of cool growing up, and has always influenced me. I play and sing jazz standards, and have sung in classical choirs for much of my adult life. Now my kids are musicians themselves, so I’m excited that the family tradition is continuing. Love songs of various kinds always get to me.”
