On Friday May 5th in the Ehrer theater, Lick-Wilmerding will host the Tri-School Art Night in conjunction with University High School and The Urban School. The event, modeled after a 2015 version held at University High School will be rich with art from LWHS, Urban, and University students. The art will be auctioned off during a silent auction. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the Mission Science Workshop which brings fun, explorative science education to students in the Mission and Excelsior Districts.
Originally, the event scheduled for May 5th was called the Student Council Showcase which was held in 2015 and 2016. The Student Council Showcase is organized by Executive Student Council’s Co-Community Networkers. In 2015, Isabel Povey ‘16 and Katie Vestal ‘15, the showcase was in its first year. Then, in 2016, Co-Community Networkers Nigel Berkeley ‘17 and Carolena Leon ‘16 put on the show and found much success. This year, Kapp Singer ‘18 and Loic Marcon ‘17 wanted to build on that success and expand to University and Urban in order to generate more money for this year’s charity of choice, Mission Science Workshop.
At this year’s event, the audience will watch The Waves and The Muses perform, alongside dance, film and instrumental music. Hosting the event will be seniors Adam Barr-Neuwirth ‘17 and Aden Misra-Siebel ‘17.
Come out to LWHS on Friday May 5th from 6:30-8:30!
