“This playlist is a nod to the current events of the day, and the tone I’ve attempted to set here might best be summarized by civil rights activist, John Lewis: “If you’re not hopeful and optimistic, then you just give up. You have to take the long hard look and just believe that if you’re consistent, you will succeed.” I also wanted to honor the Bay Area Civil Rights Veterans who visited our school on Jan. 18th with the last song.”
Amelia Levin-Sheffield is a senior at Lick-Wilmerding High School and is the Co-editor in Chief of both the PT OnLine and the Paper Tiger. Amelia is a voracious reader and started writing in second grade after getting a flash of inspiration from a gnome sighted in the hollow of a tree in her backyard. Her favorite books include Bel Canto, We Were Liars and We All Looked Up.
